Vaccination Drive – June 4th 2021

Vaccination Drive held on June 4th 2021.

With the fast spreading of the Corona virus and the lack of availability of vaccines, a lot of people were left in a lurge. Free vaccines were provided by the Government, but due to heavy demand there was a shortfall of the much needed vaccine.

With a gracious sponsorship by V.Harikrishna and Sadhu Kokila, and the support of Dr.Venkatesh from Apollo Hospital, an exclusive vaccination drive for KFMA members was organised at JP Nagar club, Bangalore. Under the leadership and guidance of our General Secretary – Dharma Vish, the drive was one of the most well organised events. With a waiting time of less than 2 mins per member KFMA successfully vaccinated it’s members free of cost.

There were a few members who could not make themselves available for this vaccine drive. KFMA facilitated vaccination of such members by availing slots at other vaccination drives.

Ration Kit Distribution – May2021

The 2nd wave of the pandemic hit really hard on our music industry. Recording musicians, performance artists, singers and everyone related to the film and music industry were going through tough times. Padma Bhushan B.Sarojadevi took the initiative to help the music industry in these difficult times. KFMA in association with “Upendra Trust” distributed more than 300 ration kits to musicians not only on Bangalore but also in many tier 2 cities.

The enthusiastic group of volunteers from KFMA did a fantastic job of distributing these kits following strict COVID guidelines during the lockdown period. Special mention about our members and volunteers Srikanth.T who voluntarily delivered the kits to the pick up points and Sharath Srinivasa Sharma who delivered kits to the homes of many senior musicians as it was not advisable for them to move around.
